Community Centre Week UK

is a yearly celebration of what we love about community centres. Launched in 2014, we’re now on our sixth year, and it just keeps getting bigger and better!

With a different theme each year, we aim to involve community centres across the UK, and encourage them to take this time to really celebrate what makes them great. Our previous themes have included pop-up parks, community centre histories and neighbourliness.

Run mostly on social media, #loveyourcc provides uplifting reading each year as stories are shared and new connections made.

CCWeek 2019 was another great celebration! It comes at the same time as Octopus’ 20th birthday so it was the perfect time for a double celebration! Our theme this year was food poverty, to celebrate the work community centres do across the country to alleviate this problem, and the good they give to their communities by doing so.

As always, we had lots of involvement from all over the country, with lots of people sharing stories about what their community centres do to tackle food poverty, what corporate involvement they have, and why their centre is important to them!

Here's 2019's promotional pack here, it’s full of celebration ideas and a handy poster template!

Now its time to look forward to the 7th CCWeek, in 2020!
