Archway Park
A thriving community space

Archway Park

Islington Council is giving Archway Park a facelift: the range of imaginative landscape improvements that are now being consulted upon will make sure that the park becomes a real community asset, as a safer, more valuable, more accessible community space for residents and visitors.

Consultations are being undetaken by Islington Council and are now well underway.

The Wild Places team are working with the two local Community Hubs - Caxton House Community Centre and Hornsey Lane Community Association to develop a programme of activities with local communities. Also, we're really keen to engage local residents in developing the Urban Wild Places programme of activities for the Archway area. It doesn't matter if you're an individual, a school, a local youth club or community group, we'd like to hear from you.

There's not much more we can say for now, as we're just getting underway and the consultations have not yet been completed - so, watch this space!

Environmental Summer School in Archway Park

Children became environmental detectives during the 2014 summer holidays at Archway Park, the Octopus park activities engaged children in a range of activities including butterfly surveying, wildlife games, making dens and building fires.
