Get Involved!
Do you want to transform health and well-being in YOUR community? If so, we'd love you to get involved in our Stay Well, Live Well project.

We're looking for 12 local people to become involved in the project as Community Health Champions, read more about what this role is, who we're looking for, and how getting involved can help you below! 

Community Health Champions can get involved in different ways such as:

  • Helping colleagues, friends and family become awareness of health and wellbeing services available in the neighbourhood
  • Setting up and holding information stalls in community centres, libraries, local events
  • signposting people to services such as Stop smoking service, exercise classes, mental health services and more
  • Helping in organising health and wellbeing events
  • Distributing leaflets and putting up posters in the community
  • Helping in organising and holding talks and workshops to promote health and wellbeing

 

 No experience is required for this role. We would like to hear from you, if you are:

  • an Islington residents and over 18 years old
  • passionate about helping people in the community
  • enthusiastic about health and wellbeing
  • keen to spread awareness and motivate people in their neighbourhood
  • willing to undertake training
  • able to commit to volunteer for  2 hours a week for minimum period of 3 months. This can be flexible, so please discuss the time commitment with one of the development officers.
  • willing for Octopus to carry out a full DBS check
