Inspiring Volunteering

Community Centres benefit from a range of Volunteers and we really value the skills and time Volunteers donate! A brand-new project with VAI will inspire a number of new initiatives.

We have partnered with Voluntary Action Islington who have successfully applied to City Bridge Trust for a two year project that will work with a number of local organisations, including a number of our Hubs!

The project will begin in Autumn 2015 and will start with a training session on managing volunteers for all organisations, including an introduction to what the project will be offering.

The project will help our hubs to develop and deliver induction sessions for volunteers, develop volunteering roles and support the training of new volunteers.

Four of the Hubs will work with Voluntary Action Islington to enable them to gain expertise in the management of volunteers, and these Hubs will then be able to share their knowledge with the rest of the network.
