Impact of the Community Hubs Network
Our Community Hubs Achievements

Collaborating as a Network the Hubs have supported and shared practice to improve their practices and increase their sustainability, in the following ways:-
As a result of the Marketing Strategies programme the following impact can be evidenced:
  • A number of Hubs have adopted a cost-benefit approach to the marketing and hire of community space.
  • Using local Ward Profiles has helped inform and tailor local services to neighbourhood needs.
  • Increased number of and more diverse services being offered.
  • Improved office rental and hire of facilities has increased income generation capabilities.
  • 'Back office' consolidation between partner organisations has resulted in cost savings and joined-up working.
  • A review of utilities, services and equipment agreements has resulted in cost savings, and in some cases joint purchasing of cleaning services.
  • A review and update of existing Business Plans to meet local needs.
All Community Hubs have achieved or are currently being assessed for the nationally recognised VISIBLE standard, which has had the following impact:
  • Improved Governance structure and recruitment of new Board Members.
  • Complete review of all policies and procedures.
  • Increased opportunities to apply for and secure funding.
  • Increased 'visibility' and recognition.
