Community Hubs Updates:

Here's what we've been hearing about and discussing at Community Hubs meetings

  • What the impact of the local authority cuts might be on local community centres.  We don't yet know that the plans for April 2015 are, so watch this space!
  • We are keeping a watch on the new ESF programme for England, and London in particular.  We've got a track record in delivering successful, locally focused and led ESF programmes, and we'd like to do more.  We've been involved in the VCS consultations led by LVSC (in London), and are now talking about how we might be involved.  We're also talking to the Islington Council team, about opportunities, too.
  • We've been talking to London Metropolitan University about establishing a Hub-wide student 'internship' programme. Watch this space for more information.  We are really excited about the prospect of working with the University and the students.
